Why I Became a Disney Travel Advisor

The real story. Not the polished one.

I want to tell you something I don't say in my official bio.

I didn't grow up going to Disney. I didn't have that. And for a long time, I told myself it didn't matter. That it was just a theme park. That it was for other kinds of families, with other kinds of budgets, living other kinds of lives.

I told myself that for forty-four years.

Then my husband and I packed up the kids and finally went.

I don't fully have the words for what happened when I walked through those gates for the first time. Something in me healed that I didn't even know was broken. It wasn't just the rides or the food or the spectacle of it all. It was watching my kids see magic in real time. It was standing somewhere that felt completely separate from everything heavy in my life. It was realizing, for the first time in a long time, that joy like this was allowed to be mine.

For all of us.

I came home and I couldn't stop thinking one thing: why did I wait so long?

The answer, if I'm being honest, is that I didn't think it was for people like me. Too expensive. Too complicated. Too much to figure out with kids who have their own needs. Too much, full stop. I had spent so much of my life feeling like I was too much, and Disney felt like one more place that would confirm it.

It did not. It was the opposite of that.

That's why Into The Stars Travel exists.

I became a FORA-certified travel advisor because I wanted to be the person I wish I had. Someone who could look at a family like mine and say: I know it feels impossible. I know it feels out of reach. Let me help you get there anyway.

Because here's what I know now that I didn't know then: the magic is real. And it belongs to you. Even when the world has given you plenty of reasons to believe otherwise.
